Aggies Look to Collar Bulldogs

Texas A&M's seventh ranked men's tennis team (9-3, 4-1 SEC) takes to the road to face No. 35 Mississippi State (12-4, 3-1 SEC) at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville at 5 p.m. in a battle for second place in the SEC.

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's seventh ranked men's tennis team (9-3, 4-1 SEC) takes to the road to face No. 35 Mississippi State (12-4, 3-1 SEC) at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville at 5 p.m. in a battle for second place in the SEC.

The Aggies sport a quartet of ranked singles players in the latest ITA rankings. Leading the charge is junior Harrison Adams at No. 48 followed by No. 65 Jeremy Efferding, No. 71 Shane Vinsant and No. 89 AJ Catanzariti. A&M enlists the services of a pair of ranked doubles teams; No. 9 Adams and Vinsant along with No. 26 Efferding and Jordan Szabo.

The Bulldogs enlist a couple of ranked singles players in No. 105 Tassilo Schmid and No. 112 Florian Lakat. Lakat also features on Mississippi State's lone ranked double team, alongside Julian Cash at 46th.

The Bulldogs and Aggies battle for the seventh time in history, with Aggies holding a 4-2 advantage and having won the last two contests. The series is split at a match apiece in Starkville.
