COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M equestrian sophomore Haley Webster's successes in Equitation over Fences in March earned her SEC Rider of the Month honors, the Southeastern Conference office announced today.
The Brentwood, Calif., native recorded a victory against Auburn and earned her first MOP honors of the season, helping A&M to a 4-1 victory over Fences.
Webster's win was her fourth of the season and her 86 was a season-high for the sophomore, ranking second overall on the team during 2014-15. Her victory was part of the team's regular-season finale, which completed an undefeated home record in the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
“We are so excited that Haley has been recognized," said assistant coach Caroline Cramer. "She is an integral part of the fences team. Haley works very hard day in and day out and her hard work is paying off. Each competition she reminds me of what a competitor she is and I am looking forward to watching her the rest of this season.”
The fourth-ranked Aggies (7-5, 3-3 SEC) return will host the SEC Championship March 27-28 at the Hildebrand Equine Complex, facing South Carolina..
