Aggies Host 7-on-7 Scrimmages on Saturday

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Texas A&M Aggies will be hosting Lamar and Sam Houston State for 7-on-7 matches at Ellis Field on Saturday.

The Maroon and White will play matches against Lamar (12 pm) and Sam Houston State State (4 pm). Lamar and Sam Houston State will face-off in a 2 pm contest. The day will also include contests between teams representing the clubs Dallas Texans, Challenge and Solar Chelsea.

The event is free to the public.

The matches will be two 22-minute halves with a five-minute halftime.

The Aggies' have two more events on the spring schedule, including scrimmages at Ellis Field on April 4 and April 7.

Texas A&M are coming of a 2014 campaign in which the team captured the SEC regular-season title and won the SEC Tournament title, becoming the first team to earn the SEC Double in back-to-back years since Florida in 2001. The Aggies earned a bid to their 20^th consecutive NCAA tournament, advancing to the Final Four before falling to Virginia. A&M finished the season ranked fifth in the nation with a 22-3-2 record (9-1-1 SEC).
