A&M-ACU Women?s Tennis Match Canceled

The women's tennis match between Texas A&M and Abilene Christian, scheduled for Wednesday, April 1 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center, has been canceled based on the prediction of inclement weather.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The women's tennis match between Texas A&M and Abilene Christian, scheduled for Wednesday, April 1 at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center, has been canceled based on the prediction of inclement weather, Aggie head coach Howard Joffe announced.

The match will not be rescheduled.

This is the second time the match has been hampered by weather. The contest was originally scheduled to be played Feb. 21, but because of predicted high wins and the likelihood of rain, the coaches agreed to reschedule the match for April 1.

The Aggies (10-4, 7-2 SEC), who climbed four spots to No. 11 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings, close out their regular-season conference road schedule this weekend as they travel to take on  Missouri and Arkansas, Friday and Sunday, respectively.
