CARMEL, Ind.- Two Texas A&M men's and women's basketball signees have been named to compete in the American Family Insurance 3-Point Championship at Carmel (Ind.) High School on April 1 at 6 p.m. CT in suburban Indianapolis. D.J. Hogg, a men's basketball signee, competes in the men's Marines 3-Point Championship and Danni Williams, a women's basketball signee, competes in women's American Family Insurance 3-Point Championship.
The event will be shown on tape-delay on Sunday, April 5 at 2:30 CT on CBS.
Hogg, a 6-7 small forward from Plano West High School, is ranked as a four-star prospect and top-35 national recruit by 247 Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout. Both 247 and ESPN regard Hogg as the third-highest ranked player in the state of Texas, while ESPN slots him as the seventh best small forward prospect nationally.
Williams, a 5-10 guard from Clovis (N.M.) High School, rated the seventh-best guard, and 38th-best player, in the 2015 recruiting class by ESPN. The five-star prospect is New Mexico's first three-time winner of the Gatorade Player of the Year award. Williams is also a three-time First Team All-State selection.
