No. 15 Women's Golf Takes Three-Stroke Lead At Rebel Intercollegiate

The No. 15 Texas A&M women's golf team stormed into first place with an even-par 288 on the second day of the Rebel Intercollegiate at the Ole Miss Golf Course, taking a three stroke lead in the tournament.

OXFORD, Miss.- The No. 15 Texas A&M women's golf team stormed into first place with an even-par 288 on the second day of the Rebel Intercollegiate at the Ole Miss Golf Course, taking a three stroke lead in the tournament.

The Aggies, who started the day one stroke behind No. 24 Furman, had three players shoot par-or-better in Saturday's second round, including Andrea Jonama, who shot 71 (-1), putting her in second place individually at 141 (-3), one stroke behind tournament leader Josee Doyon of Kent State at 140 (-4).

Texas A&M sits at 577 (+1) for the tournament, giving the Aggies a three-stroke cushion over No. 14 Tennessee, who is in second place at 580 (+4), and is five strokes ahead of third-place Furman.

Freshman Maddie Szeryk shot an even-par 72 in the second round, sitting in a tie for fourth place at 143 (-1) after Saturday's action on the par 72 / 6,210-yard course.

Bianca Fabrizio shot a team-best 70 (-2) in the second of three rounds in the tournament, moving up from 48th place at the start of the day into a tie for 14th place at 146 (+2).

Marijosse Navarro shot a 75 (+3) and is tied for 20th in the tournament with a 147 (+3). Thanya Pattamakijsakul rounded out the Aggies' lineup with an 81 (+9) and is tied for 82nd in the tournament with a 159 (+15).
