COLLEGE STATION- The No. 15 Texas A&M Women's Golf Team was named Golfweek National Team of the Week on Tuesday, after winning the Rebel Intercollegiate with a record-breaking performance.
The Aggies shot a tournament-record 858 (-6) in the 54-hole event to capture their second tournament victory of the season. Marijosse Navarro's 66 (-6) in the final round was a single-round tournament record, helping the Aggies finish first overall and Navarro to a second place finish.
The Aggies placed four golfers in the Top 10, with Navarro, Maddie Szeryk (T-3rd), Andrea Jonama (T-3rd) and Bianca Fabrizio (10th) posting top finishes for the Aggies.
Texas A&M returns to action from Apr. 17-19 at the SEC Championship in Hoover, Ala.
