COLLEGE STATION—Texas A&M students who purchased a 12th Man Pass for 2014-15 have until next Friday, Apr. 17 to secure their new 2015-16 12th Man Pass, which provides access to all Aggie football games at the redeveloped Kyle Field and more than 170 athletics home events.
New 12th Man Passes for current sports pass holders can be reserved at www.12thManFoundation.com/students. The 12th Man Pass cost of $290 will be billed to student fee statements in early August.
Texas A&M allocates 31,000 student tickets for Aggie football -- the most football tickets for students in the country (list of largest student allotments follows). The 2015 season marks the opening of the completely redeveloped Kyle Field, which at $485 million is the largest such project in college football history.
Last season, Texas A&M extended its national single-game student attendance record twice, with 38,800 students attending the season opener vs. Lamar and then 40,032 attending the Aggies' SEC matchup with Ole Miss.
In addition to a season-long 12th Man Pass, students also have the option of two football four-game packs. The Maroon Pack includes home football games against Nevada, Alabama, South Carolina and Western Carolina. The White Pack includes the season-opener against Ball State, Mississippi State, Auburn and Western Carolina. The four-game packs are $150 and also provide students access to all non-football Aggie athletics home events in 2015-16.
12th Man Passes will also be available for purchase at www.12thManFoundation.com/students at these later dates: May 6-7 for all currently registered Texas A&M students and beginning May 28 for Fall 2015 incoming students.
Texas A&M was second in the country in overall attendance in 2014 with an average of 105,123, and the Kyle Field record was set against Ole Miss when 110,633 squeezed into the stadium. The top six all-time attendance marks of over 100,000 were set last season.
Kyle Field's permanent capacity will rest at 102,512 for the upcoming season after swelling to 106,300 in 2014 as part of the stadium redevelopment.
The Aggies open the 2015 season in Houston's NRG Stadium against Arizona State in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff on Sept. 5 before opening the home portion of the schedule against Ball State on Sept. 12. Texas A&M hosts seven home games with contests against Ball State, Nevada, Mississippi State, Alabama, South Carolina, Auburn and Western Carolina.
