Texas A&M will be the No. 3 seed at the 2015 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament, to be held Wednesday-Sunday, April 15-19 at the Carolina Tennis Center in Columbia, S.C.
The Aggies open tournament play Friday at 2 p.m. (ET) against the winner between No. 6 seed LSU and No. 11 seed Arkansas or No. 14 seed Missouri.
Florida is the No. 1 seed after winning the SEC regular season with a 12-1 record. Texas A&M, Georgia and Vanderbilt finished in a three-way tie for second with identical 11-2 records. Based on head-to-head competition between the three teams involved in the tie, the Bulldogs were awarded the No. 2 seed. The Aggies and Commodores are the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, respectively.
Should A&M advance, the Aggies' semifinal match is slated for Saturday at noon (ET). The championship match will be played Sunday at noon (CT).
Texas A&M, 15-4 overall, enters the tournament having won 12 of its last 13 matches and riding a season-best seven-match win streak.
