BIRMINGHAM, Alabama - ESPN has selected the May 14 baseball game between Texas A&M and Ole Miss to air on national television the SEC announced on Wednesday. The series opener between the Aggies and Rebels will be broadcast live on ESPNU with first pitch still set for its original time, 6:30 p.m. CT, at Swayze Field.
The three-game set against Ole Miss is the final regular-season series leading into the SEC Tournament. With the last Thursday of the regular season designated as a wild card selection date for television, the series-opening matchup was chosen over the other six SEC games on the schedule that evening.
Weather permitting, it will mark the 11th game of the year for the Aggies on the linear ESPN family of networks. Texas A&M was originally scheduled to be highlighted 10 times on the networks, but succumbed to a pair of rainouts at Kentucky. ESPN later picked up the second game of the series at LSU and Tuesday's clash against Texas State. The Aggies have nine of the games under their belts with this Saturday's game at Tennessee (SEC Network – 6 pm) representing the last of the previously scheduled games.
