The Matey Award winner was decided between 15 conference video coordinators and Duncan represented the SEC.
The Bob Matey Award is presented to the video coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey. Matey was a video coordinator at Texas A&M from 1987-97 and was crucial to the formation of the national video organization which was founded in 1995.
Duncan completed his 10th season as video coordinator for the Texas A&M football coaching staff and his 17th year overall at Texas A&M. Duncan served seven years as an assistant after coming to Texas A&M from Arizona State.
At Texas A&M, Duncan assists the football coaching staff with game tape breakdown, opponent scouting, practice video and the development of motivational music videos.
Duncan serves as treasurer of the Collegiate Sports Video Association and was the 2010-11 CSVA Big 12 Video Coordinator of the Year.
Duncan also assists other Texas A&M athletics programs with game and match filming as well as providing insight into the latest audio/video technology.
A 1996 magna cum laude graduate of Arizona State with a degree in broadcasting, Duncan is the son of David and Elizabeth Duncan of Olympia, Wash.
