Women's Golf T-13th After Nearly Two Rounds At NCAA Championships

BRADENTON, Fla.- No. 9 Texas A&M is six strokes off the pace for the final match play spot and sits in a tie for 13th place after nearly two rounds of the 2015 NCAA Championship at The Concession Golf Club. The Aggies had three players remaining on the course, including two on the 18th hole, when play was stopped for the night due to lightning and impending darkness.

The Aggies had strong rounds from Maddie Szeryk, who is 1-over par through 16 holes in the second round, and is a tie for 14th in the tournament with a combined 34-hole total of +5. Marijosse Navarro shot 1-over through 17 holes, and is tied for 22nd at 6-over par through 35 holes.

Texas A&M is +41 for the tournament and was +20 in the second round at the suspension of play. The Aggies had climbed as high as fourth on the leaderboard in the second round before settling in a tie for 13th.

Andrea Jonama shot +5 through 17 holes of the par 72 / 6,468 yard course, but is tied for 115th in the tournament. Bianca Fabrizio and Thanya Pattamakijsakul completed their rounds, shooting 85 (+13) and 90 (+18) respectively.

The Aggies resume play at 7:25 a.m. CT on Sunday to complete the second round, then will tee off in the afternoon flight of the third round at 12 p.m. CT or later, based on final standing after three rounds.

Following the third round, the field will be cut to the top 15 teams and nine individuals not on an advancing team to compete in the final day of stroke play on Monday. The individual champion will be determined following Monday's fourth round and the top eight teams advance to match play, beginning Tuesday.
