COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M sophomore Nick Banks was named to the D1Baseball.com All-America Third Team, announced on Thursday.

Banks started 63 games for the Aggies, including 48 in rightfield and 15 in centerfield. He ranked second on the Aggies with .364, 48 RBI and his .450 on-base percentage. He logged 51 runs, 11 doubles, three triples and nine stolen bases.

In 28 league games, Banks batted .339 with 24 runs, five doubles, one triple, four home runs and 20 RBI. In eight NCAA Championship games, he led A&M with three home runs and six RBI.

For his career, Banks' .347 ranks 12th on A&M's all-time list. In 120 games, he has 80 runs, 21 doubles, five triples, 10 home runs, 74 RBI and 16 stolen bases.

Banks becomes the third A&M player to earn All-America status in 2015. Junior Grayson Long was named a third-team All-America starting pitcher by both Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association. Junior outfielder Logan Taylor was also named to the All-America Third Team by the NCBWA.
