VANCOUVER, Canada- Texas A&M sophomore golfer Maddie Szeryk tees off at 11:05 a.m. CT Thursday in the first round of the LPGA's Canadian Pacific Women's Open at Vancouver Golf Club.
Szeryk, who represents Canada in international competitions, received an exemption into the field as one of the top Canadian players. The event, founded in 1973, is Canada's national championship for women's golf.
Television coverage of the event runs from 5-8 p.m. on the Golf Channel, but Szeryk's first round should be finished by the time the tournament hits the air. The Golf Channel covers all four days of the event.
Szeryk was an All-American for Texas A&M in 2014-15, helping the Aggies win the 2015 SEC Championship with an individual runner-up performance. Szeryk was the SEC Freshman of the Year.
