VANCOUVER, B.C.- Texas A&M Sophomore Maddie Szeryk shot a 3-over 75 on the first day of the LPGA Canadian Pacific Women's Open at Vancouver Golf Club.
Szeryk had 15 pars on the par 72/6,656 yard course, only having three bogeys on the day. Szeryk hit 10 of 15 fairways and 13 of 18 greens on the day.
The event is Canada's national championship for women's golf. Szeryk is in a tie for 113th after a round.

Szeryk was an All-American for Texas A&M in 2014-15, helping the Aggies win the 2015 SEC Championship with an individual runner-up performance. Szeryk was the SEC Freshman of the Year.
