ATHENS – Senior forward Jalen Jones highlighted a list of five Aggies in double-digit scoring Friday as the Texas A&M men's basketball team defeated Athens-based Ikaros 79-37 during the third exhibition of the team's summer European tour.

"I thought we played well defensively for about three quarters," Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy said. "We faced a team that we were better than and we played like it, especially in the third quarter. I liked our defensive effort and thought we shared the ball well in the second half. That was good to see."

Rookie guard Admon Gilder shared top-point honors with Jones by finishing with 12 points, which were highlighted by the Dallas native hitting a pair of 3-pointers during the opening moments of the third quarter.

Fellow freshman Tyler Davis also enjoyed a successful showing as the 6-foot-11 center opened the contest on a tear, scoring the Aggies' first seven points en route to totaling 11 for the game. Senior Alex Caruso also finished with 11 points on the night, while junior Tavario Miller completed the list of A&M players in double-digit scoring, contributing 10 points, including three thunderous dunks in the first period.

After jumping out of the gate strong in the game's initial stanza, Texas A&M slowed down during the second quarter before taking complete control during after halftime. During the third quarter, A&M's defense put the clamps down to allow just two points during the period.

Texas A&M owned a 34-25 advantage at the intermission.

The Aggies will play their final game of the tour Saturday when they face the well-regarded Serbian team Mega Leks at 10 a.m. (CT).
