Volleyball Announces Time Changes for Sept. 5 Invitational Matches

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Aggie volleyball head coach Laurie Corbelli has announced time changes to the Saturday, Sept. 5 matches at the home season-opening Texas A&M Invitational at Reed Arena.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Aggie volleyball head coach Laurie Corbelli has announced time changes to the Saturday, Sept. 5 matches at the home season-opening Texas A&M Invitational at Reed Arena.
 
The Aggies' home debut against Wichita State has been changed to a noon start, and first serve against Abilene Christian has been bumped up to 4:30 p.m.
 
In addition, the first match of the day between Abilene Christian and New Mexico State has been changed to a 10 a.m. start.
 
The complete updated Texas A&M Invitational schedule is as follows:
 
      Sept. 4            Fri.                    Abilene Christian vs. Wichita State                                                           11 a.m.
                                                      New Mexico State vs. Wichita State                                                         7 p.m.
      Sept. 5            Sat.                   Abilene Christian vs. New Mexico State                                                  10 a.m.
                                                      Texas A&M vs. Wichita State                                                               12 p.m.
                                                      Texas A&M vs. Abilene Christian                                                           4:30 p.m.
      Sept. 6            Sun.                  Texas A&M vs. New Mexico State                                                           1 p.m.
 
 
On Monday, August 24, the Aggies host their annual Maroon and White scrimmage at 4 p.m. at Reed Arena. Admission is free, and free parking will be available in Lot 100G. Fans should enter Reed through the main entrance (facing Olsen Blvd.).
 
The team will hold a meet-and-greet autograph session on the court immediately following the scrimmage, and autograph cards will be provided.  In addition, Aggie Yell Leaders will be in attendance, and also 12th Man and Junior Aggie Club tables will be set up on the concourse.
 
Corbelli returns 11 letterwinners -- including nine with starting experience – and a redshirt player from last year's team that tied for fourth in the Southeastern Conference with a 13-5 league record and finished 21-9 overall and No. 22 in the final national ratings percentage index (RPI) after advancing to the first round of the NCAA tournament.
 
Corbelli, who is entering her 23rd season at the helm of the Aggies and the 30th year of her head coaching career also welcomes the addition of five freshmen.
