Multiple swimmers and coaches with Texas A&M ties have been named to the 2015-16 U.S. National Team, USA Swimming announced.
Representing Texas A&M on the team were coaches Steve Bultman and Jason Calanog and swimmers Cammile Adams, Lisa Bratton, Sarah Henry and Breeja Larson.
"The USA Swimming National Team represents the highest level of swimming in the United States," said Frank Busch, USA Swimming National Team Director. "Heading into an Olympic year, this group of dedicated athletes will positively represent our country and aim to build on the National Team's tradition of success in and out of the pool."
Bultman, entering his 17th season in charge of the women's program at Texas A&M, gained his spot on the National Team as the coach for Bratton, Henry and Larson. Calanog, hired by the men's program in June, made the team because of his association with freestyle sprinter Caeleb Dressel at the Bolles School Sharks.
Adams, who lettered for the Aggies from 2011-14, is the U.S.'s top entry in the 200-meter butterfly with a time of 2:06.40 from the FINA World Championships in Kazan, Russia. As a sophomore at Texas A&M, Adams placed fifth in the 200 fly at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Bratton, a sophomore from Richland, Wash., ranks No. 3 in the U.S. in the 200-meter backstroke with her time of 2:09.31 from the World University Games. Bratton set the Texas A&M record, which is in short course yards, as a freshman at the 2015 NCAA Championships.
Henry, who won the NCAA 400 IM crown as a senior in 2015, ranks No. 4 in the U.S. with her best time of 4:38.88 from the World University Games. Henry finished her Texas A&M career as the school record holder in the 500, 1,000 and 1,650 freestyles and ranked No. 2 in school history in the 400 IM behind Adams.
Larson, who lettered for the Aggies from 2011-14, ranks in the top six in the U.S. in the 100 and 200 breaststroke races. Larson ranks No. 4 in the 100 breast with a time of 1:07.33 from the Arena Pro Swim in Austin, Texas, and No. 6 in the 200 breast with a time of 2:26.38 from the FINA World Championships.
