The Texas A&M-Oklahoma women's basketball game on Dec. 20 has been picked up for television coverage on Fox Sports 1. The game, which is a part of the second annual Big 12/SEC Challenge, is held in Oklahoma City's Chesapeake Energy Arena and scheduled for a 4 p.m. CT start.

The first game of the double-header features Texas and Arkansas tipping off at 1:30 p.m. on Fox Sports 1. Ticket information for the Big 12/SEC Challenge is expected to be released within the next week.

The game gives A&M 12 national television broadcasts in 2015-16, with the remainder of the home schedule being broadcast on SEC Network+. These games are available digitally on mobile devices and connected-TVs whose cable/satellite providers offer SEC Network+ through WatchESPN or SECSports.com.

The broadcast on Fox Sports 1 is the first time Texas A&M women's basketball has been featured on the two-year old network.

Texas A&M and Oklahoma have squared off 47 times in women's basketball, with Oklahoma leading the series 26-21, but the Aggies have captured seven of the last eight meetings with the Sooners, dating back to 2010. One of the marquee regular season wins in program history came against Oklahoma, as the No. 12 Aggies knocked off the then-No. 2 Sooners 57-56 in Reed Arena during the 2008-09 season. The Sooners reached the Second Round of the NCAA Tournament in 2015.

The inaugural challenge was held in 2014 in Little Rock, Ark., and featured a top 5 matchup with No. 3 Texas squaring off against No. 4 Texas A&M. Oklahoma and Arkansas, who were both receiving votes in the Associated Press Poll, played in the second game.  The conferences split the Challenge with the two games decided by a total of nine points.

For the first time in school history, the Aggie women's program returns two All-Americans, with two-time selection Courtney Walker and Jordan Jones slated to come back for Women's Basketball Hall of Fame coach Gary Blair, as the team looks for its 11th straight NCAA Tournament Appearance.
