COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M is well represented in the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Women's Division I Preseason Rankings, released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Four A&M players are listed in singles, and two Aggie doubles teams are ranked in the top 15, including an A&M all-time high No. 5 ranking for the duo of sophomore Eva Paalma and junior Rachel Pierson. Paalma and Pierson, who were ranked as high as No. 13 during the 2015 regular season, fell in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Doubles Championship but still set a school record for the highest final doubles ranking in program history with a No. 15 listing.

In addition, seniors Ines Deheza and Stefania Hristov are No. 14 in the preseason doubles rankings, setting an all-time high for the pair. Deheza and Hristov were as high as No. 16 during the 2015 regular season and finished the year ranked No. 37.

Pierson, the 2015 ITA Texas Region Player to Watch, is ranked a team-high and career-high No. 18 in singles, while junior Saska Gavrilovska, who earned ITA All-America honors last year by advancing to the NCAA round of 16, is No. 31 in singles, marking the second highest ranking of her career.

In addition, junior Rutuja Bhosale is a career-high No. 50 in singles, and Hristov is No. 107.

The Aggies open the fall season Friday with Pierson and Gavrilovska competing in the Oracle/ITA Masters in Malibu, Calif., and the rest of the team competing at Baylor's Under Armour/HEB Kickoff tournament in Waco, Texas.
