INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- The NCAA has granted Texas A&M women's basketball sophomore Jasmine Lumpkin (Bolingbrook, Ill./Michigan State) a waiver of the one-year residence requirement, making her eligible to play in games for the Aggies. The Aggies' season begins on Nov. 13 against Texas State.

Lumpkin, a 6-0 forward/guard, transferred to Texas A&M in January after averaging 5.5 points and 4.2 rebounds in 2014-15 at Michigan State, highlighted by a career-high 16 points against then-No. 9 Baylor on Dec. 20. She averaged 12.5 points against teams in the AP Top 10 while at Michigan State.

While at Michigan State, she set a career-high with 11 rebounds at Loyola (Ill.) on Dec. 14. She also scored nine points against No. 3 Notre Dame (Nov. 19) and 13 points against Miami (Ohio) (Nov. 30).

Out of high school, Lumpkin was a four star ESPN HoopGurlz prospect, and rated as the ninth-best guard in the 2014 recruiting class. She was tabbed the Joliet Herald-News Girls Basketball Player of the Year at Joliet Catholic Academy.

She was an AAU teammate of Texas A&M center Khaalia Hillsman for the Mac Irvin Lady Fire.
