Texas A&M women's basketball had three non-conference games picked up by SEC Network on Wednesday, with the Aggies' contests against SMU, DePaul and Little Rock being selected for broadcast. In addition, the Aggies' Jan. 31 home game against South Carolina has been moved to a 5 p.m. start on ESPN2.
Two of A&M's SEC games have been held for flex scheduling by television. The Aggies' Feb. 7 game in Reed Arena against Tennessee will be shown on either ESPN at 3 p.m. or ESPN2 at 1 p.m. The Feb. 28 home game against Kentucky tips off at either 3 p.m. on ESPN, 12 p.m. on ESPN2 or 1 p.m. on ESPNU. Final decisions on start times and network coverage will be announced 7-10 days before the game.
The Aggies' Dec. 7 game against SMU is slated for SEC Network broadcast at 11 a.m., as it is the Aggies' third annual Elementary School Day. The Aggies host DePaul in a rematch of a 2014 Sweet 16 game, and a rematch of the 2014-15 season opener on Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. on SEC Network. Texas A&M hosts Little Rock in a 2015 NCAA Tournament rematch on Dec. 22 at 12 p.m., on the SEC Network.
These changes mean that A&M has 16 games tabbed for national TV, and three that are guaranteed to be on ESPN or ESPN2. A&M's remaining home games are broadcast on SEC Network Plus, which is available digitally on mobile devices and connected-TVs whose cable/satellite providers offer SEC Network Plus through WatchESPN or SECSports.com.
The Aggies' Jan. 7 game at Arkansas starts at 7 p.m., and the Feb. 25 game at Auburn starts at 6:30 p.m. Both of these games are part of the SEC Network's "Whip Around" coverage, which will feature live look-ins to all seven SEC women's basketball games being played on those dates, as all the games have staggered start times to maximize coverage.
The Texas A&M – South Carolina game on Jan. 17 has been set for a 12 p.m. start, and remains on ESPN2.
Season tickets are still available through the 12th Man Foundation, and start at $100. Fans can order tickets here: http://www.12thmanfoundation.com/ticket-center/women%27s-basketball.aspx .
