TULSA, Oklahoma – The Texas A&M men's tennis team opens pre-qualifying action Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The maroon and white are represented by eight players in the pre-qualifying draw this weekend in Tulsa. Frankie Colunga will face Fabian Fallert of Ole Miss, Oscar Janglin is set to face Julius Tverjionas of Western Michigan, James Martell will take on Pablo Landa of Illinois and Kevin Lam is set to showdown against Sergio de Vilchez of Wichita State.
Rounding out the A&M contingent in the Sooner State are Jordi Arconada, Jett Cash, Sam Giammalva and Max Lunkin. Arconada is set to play Alex Lawson of Notre Dame, Cash will take on Eduardo Mena of Tennessee Tech, Giammalva will face Dan Little of Utah and Lunkin will showdown against Felix Albert of Hawaii-Manoa.
Play is set to continue through Sunday as winners will advance to the Qualifying Draw beginning on Monday. A season ago then-freshman AJ Catanzariti stormed through both pre-qualifying and qualifying to advance to the Main Draw en route to an impressive freshman campaign topping the 30-win mark.
