SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The No. 11 Texas A&M women's golf team shot a 305 (+17) on Sunday in the first round of the Alamo Invitational at Briggs Ranch Golf Club. The Aggies are 11th in the tournament.
Maddie Szeryk and Bianca Fabrizio both shot a 3-over 75 to lead the Aggies and are tied for 22nd. Andrea Jonama shot a 4-over 76 and is tied for 30th. Fabrizio rebounded from a 4-over start in her first nine holes to finish with four birdies and a 1-under par score in her last nine holes.
Thanya Pattamakijsakul shot a 7-over 79. Callie Scheffler shot an 11-over 83. Chloe Velasco, playing as an individual, shot an 8-over 80.
Florida leads the tournament with a 5-over 293. Texas Stat's Lora Assad and Millie Saroha are co-leaders of the tournament with 3-under 69s in the first round.
