The Aggies are coming off of a doubleheader sweep late last week against the Blinn Buccaneers, the maroon and white tallied 23 runs in the two games. Fourteen of the 15 Aggies that stepped to the play recorded a hit during the doubleheader while Erica Russel went a perfect 3-for-3 in game one. Breana Dozier had a perfect plate performance in game two, going 3-for-3 with three homeruns. A&M recorded 28 hits on 64 at-bats for a .438 batting average, but the impressive performance wasn't just behind the plate, the Aggies went a perfect five-for-five on stolen base attempts.

The A&M pitching staff held the Bucs to a .104 average at the plate over 14 innings of work. Sophomore Trinity Harrington took the mound for game one in her first career start as an Aggie where she recorded a complete game holding Blinn to only three hits while striking out seven. In game two, freshman Samantha Show, made her debut as a starter, the East Bernard native pitched a solid six innings allowing only two hits and striking out nine.

The Aggies will complete their weekly schedule a day earlier than originally planned as they take on Temple College Wednesday at 5 p.m. (CT). The game was originally scheduled for Thursday, but has been moved to avoid inclement weather in the forecast.

Tuesday's contest will be held at the Aggie Softball Complex and admission will be free of charge. To learn more about Texas A&M softball, log on to 12thMan.com/softball and follow @AggieSoftball on Twitter.
