College Station, Texas—The National Collegiate Equestrian Association named Texas A&M junior Rachel Lucht horsemanship rider of the month for her efforts in October.
The College Station native continued her undefeated 2015 campaign, improving to 4-0-0 after posting a 3-0-0 record in October.
Lucht had the largest point spread of the Aggie horsemanship squad against both New Mexico State (72.5-65.5, 7 points) and Fresno State (74-71, 3 points), both away wins. At home against South Carolina, Lucht provided a career high 77.5 against a tough-to-beat 76, receiving MVP honors for the impressive performance. Her 77.5 is tied for a team second-best in the event this year.
Rachel Lucht and the rest of the Texas A&M equestrian team will resume action on Friday, November 6th to host the undefeated No. 2 Auburn Tigers at 11a.m. in the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
