Texas A&M's women's golf team announced the signing of Courtney Dow (Frisco, Texas/Prestonwood Christian) to a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday. Dow will enroll for the Fall of 2016.
"Courtney will bring a wealth of experience to our team," said Texas A&M head coach Trelle McCombs. "I'm so excited to have her join our team next fall. Not only does she exhibit great skills on the golf course, but she is an excellent student and a proven leader in her community through her philanthropy work."
Dow is rated as the No. 9 recruit nationally in the 2016 recruiting class and the No. 2 recruit in Texas by Golfweek. She is a Rolex Junior All-American and has three American Junior Golf Association victories to her credit, including the 2014 AJGA Kansas Junior, which earned her an exemption into the 2014 Garden City Classic on the Symetra Tour.
Dow, who represented the United States at the 2015 World Junior Girls' Championships was named Golfweek Player of the Week on Mar. 31 after winning the AJGA Under Armour / Hunter Mahan Championship by three shots. Dow also won the 2012 Texas State Junior Championships for 15-18 year olds when she was just 14.
