AUGUSTA, Ga. – Texas A&M senior punter Drew Kaser (Strongville, Ohio) was named a semi-finalist for the Ray Guy Award for the third straight year by the Augusta Sports Council and the Ray Guy Award committee on Friday.
The semi-finalists were chosen from a field of 79 candidates for the award, which recognizes the most outstanding punter in college football. Kaser, who was a finalist in 2013, is the only three-time Ray Guy Award semi-finalist on the 2015 list.
Kaser leads the nation with a 47.9 punt average and has ranked first or second in the FBS ranking the entire 2015 season. Kaser has produced 15 inside-the-20 punts and 18 50-yard plus efforts among his 41 total boots in 2015. Collectively, the Aggies ranked No. 9 nationally in net punting with a 40.95 average.
