Texas A&M on AVCA Host Watch List

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced that Texas A&M is one of 26 teams on its 2015 NCAA Division I Volleyball Tournament First and Second Round Host Watch List.
 
The criteria to be on the watch list are as follows:
 
Teams that are in the top-20 AVCA Coaches Poll as of November 23, 2015
 
Or
 
Teams that are in the top-20 of the Pablo Rankings as of November 23, 2015
 
Or
Teams that are in the top-20 of the RPI Rankings as of November 23, 2015
 
The Aggies (22-6, 15-2 SEC), who clinched the SEC Championship on Wednesday with a 3-2 victory at Missouri, are No. 19 in the most recent AVCA Coaches Poll. Texas A&M is No. 26 in the Pablo Rankings and No. 10 in the NCAA RPI rankings.
 
The following is the complete list of schools that are considered potential hosts based on the aforementioned criteria (as of November 23, 2015):

Sixteen teams will host first and second rounds Dec. 3-4 or 4-5. The 64-team NCAA Championship field will be announced Sunday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. on ESPNU.
 
Texas A&M is expecting to make its fifth consecutive and 23rd overall appearance in the NCAA postseason tournament.
 
A&M closes out the regular season at Arkansas on Saturday. First serve against the Razorbacks, who defeated A&M at Reed Arena in the SEC opener on Sept. 27, begins at 1:30 p.m. at Barnhill Arena in Fayetteville. The match will be broadcast on SEC Network + via WatchESPN.com
