COLLEGE STATION, Texas— A total of 30 Texas A&M student-athletes have earned degrees this semester as Commencement exercises are set to take place at Reed Arena Friday, Dec. 18.
"I am extremely proud of these young people for taking advantage of an opportunity to earn a degree from our outstanding university while also competing in a sport they love," Director of Athletics Eric Hyman said. "These student-athletes have put in a lot of time, effort and dedication to reach this goal. Everyone who has supported them throughout their lives is to be congratulated as well."
"Many of these student-athletes have not only excelled on the playing fields and in the classrooms, but also through their community outreach efforts," Hyman explained. "They are excellent role models and outstanding representatives of Texas A&M and Aggies everywhere."
The 2015 women's volleyball team won the SEC Championship and reached the second round of the NCAA Championships.
The soccer team advanced to the SEC Championship match and advanced in NCAA competition to the Elite Eight.
