
Fabrizio Sinks 30-Foot Putt On 2nd Playoff Hole To Win FSU Match Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- Texas A&M women's golfer Bianca Fabrizio sunk a 30-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole to win the individual championship at the 2015 Florida State Matchup at the Southwood Golf Course on Sunday. Fabrizio shot a 214 (-2) for the tournament, then defeated Furman's Taylor Totland in a playoff.
Fabrizio birdied the last two holes of her round to post a 73 (+1) on the day, and force a playoff with Totland. This is Fabrizio's first career tournament victory and the first victory for an A&M golfer since teammate Marijosse Navarro won the Battle at the Valley last March.
Navarro finished third in this tournament with a 215 (-1), one shot behind the two playoff participants. She had the Aggies' lowest round of the day, shooting a two-under 70 on the 6,236 yard course. Navarro has finished in the Top 10 of all four tournaments she has played this season, and has finished in the Top 5 three times.
The Aggies finished the tournament in fifth, shooting a 289 (+1) on Sunday to finish the tournament with an 885 (+21). The Aggies finished nine shots behind tournament champion Furman.
Thanya Pattamakijsakul shot a 228 (+12) for the tournament, finishing in a tie for 36th. Andrea Jonama shot an even-par 72 on Sunday, and ended the tournament in a tie for 40th with a 229 (+13) for the event. Maddie Szeryk finished with a 231 (+15) to finish in a tie for 46th.
The Aggies return to action on Feb. 23-24 for the UC Irvine Invitational in Santa Ana, Calif.
