
Scheffler Named to 2015 SEC Womens Golf Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- Callie Scheffler was named to the 2015 SEC Women's Golf Community Service Team, the league announced on Monday.
Scheffler, a redshirt sophomore from Dallas, Texas, has been involved with the Big Event, Hard Hats for Little Heads, Aggie Athletes Involved and Aggies CAN. In addition, Scheffler served as SAAC Vice President and is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, YMCA CHAMPS and Habitat for Humanity.
On the course, Scheffler posted 76.53 (+5) stroke average, with her year highlighted by an eighth-place finish at the "Mo"Morial after shooting 76-72-72=220 (+4). Scheffler finished Top 40 in three of the five tournaments she played in 2014-15.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.
