COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M standouts Haley Pounds and Ally Watt have been selected to participate in the United States Soccer Under-20 Women's National Team camp being held January 3-10 in Carson City, California.

The U.S. U20 Women's National Team is beginning year-long preparations for the 2016 FIFA U20 Women's World Cup which will take place from November 13-December 3 in Papua New Guinea. The squad qualified for the event last December when Aggie Mikaela Harvey helped the US win the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) U20 Women's Championship starting four of the five matches.

U.S. head coach Michelle French has named 26 players to this camp being held at the U.S. Soccer National Training Center in Carson, Calif., with part of the event overlapping the full U.S. Women's National Team camp.

Pounds was the Aggies' leading scorer in 2015. Starting all 26 matches, she logged 31 points on 13 goals and five assists. The Woodlands, Texas-native paced the squad with five game-winning goals. She picked up All-SEC Second Team and NSCAA All-South Region Third team recognition. For her career Pounds has played in 49 matches with 29 starts, logging 35 points on 14 goals and seven assists.

Watt earned SEC All-Freshman Team recognition in 2015. The Colorado Springs, Colorado native played in 26 matches as a rookie, including 17 starts. She tallied seven goals on the season, including four game-winning goals. Watt also garnered SEC Tournament All-Tournament Team distinction as she helped the squad advance to its third consecutive championship match.
