BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – For the second time this season, Texas A&M's Jalen Jones has been named SEC Player of the Week by the league office.

A 6-foot-7, 220-pound senior forward from Dallas, Texas, averaged 19 points and nine rebounds in wins over Florida and at Georgia. Against the Gators, Jones made 8-of-13 shots from the field, including 3-of-4 from 3-point range, to finish with a game-high 26 points and post his sixth 20-point outing of the season.

The Dallas native followed up that performance with his 12th career double-double (third at A&M) at Georgia, scoring 12 points and pulling down a season-best 12 boards. For the week, Jones shot 46.2 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from long range.

LSU's Ben Simmons, meanwhile, was honored as the league's Freshman of the Week after averaging 15.5 points, 11.5 rebounds and five assists in wins over Ole Miss and Arkansas.
