Aggie men debut in CSCAA Div. I Top 25 at No. 24

The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team's strong 2015-16 season was recognized when the Aggies debuted at No. 24 in the latest edition of the CSCAA/TYR Div. I Top 25 poll. Texas A&M was one of eight SEC teams ranked in the top 25.

The Texas A&M men's swimming and diving team's strong 2015-16 season was recognized when the Aggies debuted at No. 24 in the latest edition of the CSCAA/TYR Div. I Top 25 poll. Texas A&M was one of eight SEC teams ranked in the top 25.
 
The Aggies jumped into the CSCAA poll after posting a pair of recent victories over longtime rivals. The Aggies upset then-No. 22 LSU, 158.5-141.5, in Baton Rouge, La., on Jan. 23 and then beat SMU, 143-98, in College Station on Jan. 29.
 
With the dual meet portion of the season completed, the Aggies compiled a 7-1 overall record, which is the best record in terms of wins and winning percentage in more than a decade. The Aggies' seven wins were the most since the 2003-04 team posted an 8-2 record, and the .875 winning percentage was the best since 2000-01 when the Aggies were 9-1 in dual meet competition.
 
Next up for the Aggies will be the SEC Championships, which will be contested Feb. 16-20 in Columbia, Mo.
