COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M Soccer announced its spring slate on Monday with five playing dates. All five events are scheduled for Ellis Field.

"This spring is a special opportunity for us," Texas A &M head coach G Guerrieri said. "The spring is the time of year where we pay special attention to the development of our great players. Â We have a fantastic group of returning players from our 2015 team and also have five outstanding newcomers on campus as early enrollees. Â So this semester is a great opportunity for us to challenge and grow these players into a great team for the fall NCAA season."

The spring session kicks off on Sunday, February 21 as the Aggies host the Houston Cougars in a 6 pm contest. The following Sunday (Feb. 28), Texas A&M welcomes the Lamar Cardinals to Ellis Field for a 3 pm match.

Former Big 12 foe Oklahoma State comes to College Station on Saturday, March 5 for a 7 pm contest. The last time the teams met, Texas A&M scored a 1-0 win over the Cowgirls in the championship match of the 2011 Big 12 Tournament.

April has two events scheduled, with the highlight coming on Friday, April 8 as the Aggies host the Houston Dash of the NWSL in a 7 pm match. The spring wraps up with a 7 pm game against the Northwestern State Lady Demons.

All spring soccer matches are free to the public.

The Aggies finished the 2016 season ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll. A&M posted a 17-7-2 record for the year. The Maroon and White appeared in their 21st consecutive NCAA Division I Championship, advancing to the quarterfinal for the sixth time in school history.
