COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's Keeli Milligan was named SEC Freshman of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

The speedster from Vidor, Texas stole a league-high eight bases during the Aggie Classic while hitting an even .500 (9-for-18) in the leadoff spot.

In A&M's extra inning win over Wichita State, Milligan went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three runs, including the game-winning run. Milligan also hit an inside the park home run against the Shockers on Sunday.

In two games against No. 7 UCLA, Milligan was 4-for-7 (.571) with three stolen bases and a run. Â Â

Milligan and the Aggies return to action Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT against Sam Houston State at the Aggie Softball Complex.
