Aggie women rank No. 1 in final indoor dual meet rankings by Track & Field News

Texas A&M swept top honors in Track & Field News indoor collegiate dual meet rankings as the final women's rankings have the Aggies in the No. 1 position.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Ca. – Texas A&M swept top honors in Track & Field News indoor collegiate dual meet rankings as the final women's rankings have the Aggies in the No. 1 position.
 
Texas A&M moved into the No. 1 position in the previous rankings release a couple of weeks ago and maintained that position in the final version. Following the Aggies among the top 10 teams in the dual meet rankings were Purdue, Oklahoma, LSU, Kansas, Minnesota, Indiana, Tennessee, Akron and Kansas State.
 
A&M defeated Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Arizona State in the Texas A&M Quadrangular in January. A pair of teams involved in that meet were ranked among the top 20 with Oklahoma third in the final indoor dual meet rankings while Texas Tech ranks 20th.
 
Teams competing in a dual, triangular or quadrangular meet are eligible for the dual meet rankings. Teams are ranked on wins and losses, marks, as well as strength and depth of its dual meet schedule.
 
The Aggie women were also the top ranked team in dual meet rankings in 2014 while the A&M men held a number one ranking in 2013. Texas A&M will compete in an outdoor dual meet with UCLA on April 16 at Drake Stadium.
