Texas A&M sophomore Maddie Szeryk was named SEC Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday. Szeryk won the Florida State Match-Up on Sunday, shooting par-or-better in all three rounds.

Szeryk finally found the winner's circle, despite this being the ninth Top 5 finish in 17 career tournaments. She finished four strokes ahead of Florida State's Kim Metraux and South Carolina's Katelyn Dambaugh.

Szeryk, who has a total of 10 par-or-better rounds in 14 total rounds this season, was named SEC Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career.

Szeryk shot a 211 (-5), which is the second-best score in Florida State Match-Up history and the fifth time she has shot 5-under for a tournament in her career. She is the only A&M golfer ever to have five tournaments of 5-under-or-better to her name.

Her victory marks the second straight year an A&M golfer won the Florida State Match-Up, marking the first time A&M has produced back-to-back individual winners at the same event since 1998-99, and the first time A&M has accomplished the feat away from Aggieland.

She helped A&M finish 5th, marking A&M's 15th Top 5 finish in their last 17 tournaments.
