COLLEGE STATION, Texas -Â The Texas A&M Aggies welcome the Lamar Cardinals to the friendly confines of Ellis Field on Sunday at 3 pm as the Maroon and White continue the spring schedule.
The contest will be free to spectators.

Last Sunday, the Maroon and White opened the spring campaign with a 2-2 draw against the Houston Cougars. The Aggies' goals were scored by Haley Pounds and Bri Davis.
Texas A&M returns 18 letterwinners from the 2015 campaign, including 10 of 11 starters (players who started 50 percent or more matches). The returnees account for 45 of the Aggies' 50 goals from last season, as well as all three goalkeepers. Texas A&M welcomes back All-American Mikaela Harvey, along with fellow All-SEC performer Pounds and SEC All-Freshman honorees Emily Bates and Ally Watt.

Fans will get a nearly full preview of the 2016 squad as 22 of the 25 players who will be on the fall roster are in spring camp. The only players not in camp are Stephanie Malherbe, who is on a tryout with the South Africa Senior Women's National Team Olympic squad, and incoming freshmen Grace Cory and Grace Piper.
The Cardinals return 21 players from last season when they posted an 8-11-1 mark, including a 4-6-1 mark in the Southland Conference. Top returnees for Lamar include rising sophomore Jordan Mulnix, who tallied 28 points on 12 goals and four assists, and rising junior Alexus Aviles, who accounted for 19 points on nine goals and one assist. The Cardinals also welcome back rising junior Lauren Lovejoy who started all 20 games in goal in 2015, posting a 2.21 goals-against average and two shutouts.
The Aggies finished the 2015 season ranked No. 9 in the NSCAA Coaches Poll and posted a 17-7-2 record. The Maroon and White appeared in their 21st consecutive NCAA Division I Championship, advanced to the Second Round for the 18th consecutive year, appeared in the Sweet 16 for the 14th time in program history and earned their sixth Elite Eight showing.
