COLLEGE STATION—Texas A&M head football coach Kevin Sumlin announced Monday that the Friday, April 1 football scrimmage at Kyle Field will be open to the public.
"Our Friday Night Lights football scrimmage will be open to the public and I especially hope the 12th Man, our students, come out to Kyle Field," Sumlin said. "We will have more information very soon but it should be a great chance for our fans to watch our team scrimmage."
The scrimmage is set to begin at 8 p.m. central and the setup will be much like a Midnight Yell Practice event with gates at the southeast and northeast corners of the stadium open and fans remaining in the east side of the stands.
Many more details will be announced closer to the event.
The Aggies begin the second week of spring drills today. The team will not work out during spring break next week (Mar. 14-18).
The Texas A&M spring football game is scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 9 at 5 p.m. at Kyle Field. Tickets are currently available online at 12thMan.com for $5 and college age and under are admitted free to the spring game.
