No. 10 Texas A&M travels to Sam Houston State Wednesday

COLLEGE STATION – No. 10 Texas A&M softball will travel to Huntsville on Wednesday to take on Sam Houston State at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Bearkat Softball Complex.

COLLEGE STATION – No. 10 Texas A&M softball will travel to Huntsville on Wednesday to take on Sam Houston State at 6:30 p.m. CT at the Bearkat Softball Complex.
 
A&M (20-2) is coming off a 3-1 weekend at the San Diego Classic, where the Aggies defeated Boston University, 9-1, in five innings, Grand Canyon, 2-1, and San Diego, 21-0. A&M fell to San Diego State, 10-5.
 
Sophomore Kristen Cuyos paces the Aggie offense with her SEC-leading eight home runs, while freshman Keeli Milligan leads the NCAA in stolen bases with 26. In the circle, freshman Samantha Show is 11-2 with a 1.94 ERA and 67 strikeouts. Sophomore Trinity Harrington is 4-0 with a 0.33 ERA and senior Katie Marks is 5-0 with a 1.11 ERA.
 
The Bearkats are 5-12 on the season, going 1-4 at the South Florida Tournament last weekend. Sam Houston State defeated Central Michigan, 1-0, and lost to Illinois, East Carolina, Villanova and Seton Hall. Dani Allen leads the Bearkats with a .400 average, while Katie Doerre has hit three home runs. Lindsey McLeod is 3-2 in the circle with a 3.60 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 35.0 innings pitched.
 
The Aggies and Bearkats previously squared off on Feb. 17 in College Station, where A&M won 8-0 in five innings. Show tossed a one-hit shutout for her third victory of the season and struck out three.
