ATLANTA- Texas A&M senior guard Courtney Walker was one of thirty players to be named to the Wade Trophy watch list Friday, as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WCBA). Walker was one of six SEC players named to the list.

Walker is leading the SEC in scoring, averaging 18.1 points per game and earned First Team All-SEC honors for the third straight season. The Edmond, Okla. native totaled 5.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game alongside 49 steals for the season.

The Wade Trophy is presented to the nation's most outstanding NCAA® Division I women's basketball player each year – one who not only excels athletically, but also serves as a positive role model both on and off the court. The acclaimed Wade Watch list, from which the Wade Trophy recipient is chosen, consists of players selected on the basis of game and season statistics, leadership, character, overall playing ability and the positive impact on her respective team.
