COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Texas A&M's match at defending national champion and fifth-ranked Vanderbilt on Thursday will be streamed live on SEC Network +, available through WatchESPN and the ESPN app. It will be the first-ever women's collegiate tennis match to be broadcast on the network.
Â
Stephen Amritraj and Mark Bey will be providing play-by-play and analysis of the historic match, which begins at 4 p.m. at the Currey Tennis Center in Nashville.
Â
The match is the first of five men's and women's matches to be feature in the USTA's 2016 College MatchDay series.
Â
The Aggies, who upset the then-No. 8 Commodores, 4-3, last year in College Station to improve to 3-0 against Vanderbilt since joining the SEC, enter the contest 11-4 overall and 3-1 in SEC matches after rallying to defeat No. 27 Ole Miss, 4-3, on Sunday at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.
Â
Vanderbilt, 4-0 in home matches, is 8-4 overall, including 1-2 in SEC matches after suffering a heartbreaking 4-2 loss at defending SEC champion Florida on Saturday.
