Texas A&M selected as fifth seed for NCEA Championships

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M equestrian was selected as the fifth seed for the 2016 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, as announced by the NCEA Selection Committee Wednesday.

COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M equestrian was selected as the fifth seed for the 2016 National Collegiate Equestrian Association National Championship, as announced by the NCEA Selection Committee Wednesday.
 
The Aggies will take on No. 12 Fresno State in the first round of action on April 14 at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas.
 
A&M and Fresno State previously squared off this season on October 24 in Fresno, where the Aggies won, 9-9 (1412.5-1383). Seniors Hannah Jechow and Hannah Williams earned MOP honors in Reining and Equitation on the Flat, respectively.
 
Auburn, Georgia, Baylor and Oklahoma State will receive first round byes as the top-four seeds. TCU is the sixth seed, followed by South Carolina, Kansas State, Delaware State, SMU, New Mexico State and Fresno State.
