BRYAN, Texas – The 10th annual Aggie Invitational teed off at Traditions Club on Saturday with 15 of college golf's top teams taking part in 36 holes of competition. The Texas A&M men's golf team completed its second round in seventh place before play was halted due to darkness with a few players still on the course.

Oklahoma State ended the day as the only team below par (-2) to sit atop the team leaderboard. Meanwhile, North Texas (+4), LSU (+9), Arkansas (+11), Baylor (+13) and Ohio State (+17) round out the top six schools in the team standings above the Aggies (299-296=595, +19).

"I don't think we played very well today, but I was very proud of our last four holes," Texas A&M head coach J.T. Higgins said. "Things were not going the right way, but our guys kept it together and I think we ended up one-under on our last four to stay in it."

Senior Andrew Lister (73-72=145, +1) stands out as the top Aggie on the individual leaderboard, owning a share of 10th place.

A pair of underclassmen, Cameron Champ (74-74= 148, +4) and Chandler Phillips (76-74=150, +6), are the next two highest-ranking members of the A&M lineup in ties for 23rd and 34th, respectively.

Senior Ben Crancer (76-77=153, +9) ended the day in 49th while classmate Adria Arnaus (78-76=154, +10) was a shot back in 54th.

At the top of the player standings, North Texas' Ian Snyman (70-67=137, -7) carries a four-shot advantage over Oklahoma State's Kristoffer Ventura (69-72=141, -3).

"Overall, it's disappointing," Higgins added. "I know the guys expected to play better. We just got off to such a rough start and that caused us to press a lot trying to get it back. The way the course is set up, with the green speeds and pin placements, trying to force it is going to lead to bogies. We paid the price for that today."

A trio of Aggies competed as individuals -- Connor Black (75-72=147, +3) in 19th Andrew Paysse (74-75=149, +5) in 26th and Jake Goodman (78-80=158, +14) in 64th.

Play continues Sunday morning with the resumption of suspended final holes of the second round at 7 a.m. prior to the beginning of the final round at 8 a.m.
