Obergefell Promoted to Kyle Field General Manager

Scot Obergefell has been promoted from Texas A&M west campus facilities manager to general manager at Kyle Field, senior associate athletics director for facilities and construction Kevin Hurley announced today.

COLLEGE STATION—Scot Obergefell (pronounced OH-burg-a-fell) has been promoted from Texas A&M west campus facilities manager to general manager at Kyle Field, senior associate athletics director for facilities and construction Kevin Hurley announced today.

"Scot Obergefell brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to serving as general manager at Kyle Field," Hurley stated. "We look forward to Scot directing the best football stadium in the country."

Obergefell has served as west campus facilities manager in the athletics department since Dec. of 2014. In addition to managing and coordinating facility operations at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park, the Aggie softball complex, Ellis Soccer Field, the Mitchell Tennis Center, the Player Development Center on West Campus and the Cox-McFerrin Center for Aggie Basketball, Obergefell has served as game manager for all softball and men's and women's tennis events.

He came to Aggieland from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York where he served as an assistant athletics director for operations from 2012 until 2014.

Obergefell served as an assistant softball coach at the College of Saint Rose from 2010 until 2012.

From 2008 until 2012, Obergefell was the facilities, marketing and programming director for the Events and Athletics Center and Plumeri Sports Complex on campus.

From Nov. 2004 through June of 2008, he worked with the Tri-City Valley Cats, a minor league baseball franchise of the Houston Astros' organization. Obergefell was an account executive and promotions manager as well as being stadium operations manager.

Obergefell graduated from Springfield College in Massachusetts and earned a master's degree in sports management from the State University of New York at Cortland. He is a member of Collegiate Event and Facility Management Association (CEFMA), the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA), the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM( as well as the Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA).
