BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M senior Jackson Withrow was named to the 2016 SEC Men's Tennis Community Service Team, announced Tuesday morning by the league office. In a continuing effort to recognize the accomplishments of student-athletes beyond the field of competition, the SEC once again highlighted a Community Service Team for men's tennis for the 2015-16 season.

All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003.
Withrow and his teammates will begin play at the SEC Tournament Friday at 10 a.m. in Columbia, South Carolina against the winner of Thursday match between Arkansas and South Carolina.

Serves as Service Learning Chair for the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) to help coordinate, plan, and manage community service projects for Razorback student-athletes. Created and organized the first ever "Senior Prom" where Razorback student-athletes went into an assisted living center and gave senior citizens a blast from the past, with music, food and modified dancing. Participates in Razorbuddies, a program in which Razorbacks student-athletes are paired with a child from a local school in order to help influence them to make good life decisions. Helps coordinate and participate in Book Hogs and Sweat Hogs events. Participated in Valentine's Day event with kids at the Children's Hospital in Lowell, Arkansas. Helped coordinate and participated in "Lift Up America" - an event where Razorback student-athletes helped move over 40,000 pounds of frozen protein to give away to the Northwest Arkansas area. Taught tennis to children at local courts on Kids Day in Benton, Arkansas.

Officer with Auburn Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) where he plans and is involved with various activities including: Beat Bama food drive, Toys for Tots annual collection and distribution, Downtown Auburn Trick or Treat festival, Annual campus Student-Athlete Day and the SAAC clothing drive. Is a featured speaker at 2016 Tiger Tailgate (school-start convocation event) and volunteers with the Lee County Humane Society with their dog activities.

Has participated in Aces in Motion, the Gainesville Area Community Tennis Association's (GACTA) youth program that uses tennis to promote character development, academic support, and a healthy lifestyle to people of all abilities, with a focus on underserved youth.
Has also participated in Climb for Cancer this year.

Has been involved in a wide-range of community service efforts during his four-year career at the University of Georgia. He was involved with the Boys and Girls Clubs and the Special Olympics during his high school days and has added to that list during his time at Georgia. Among other community service initiatives, Wood and the Bulldog tennis team partnered with Be The Match last fall in an effort to drive marrow donor registration. Wood also played a pivotal role in Georgia's tennis clinic that benefited the cancer foundation. Has also volunteered his time to teach lessons to young children in Athens by taking part in UGA's free tennis clinic last January.

Has spent his time at LSU participating in many community service events. He has actively participated in the annual Thanksgiving with the Tigers holiday event and the Halloween BOOzar every year on the LSU team. Korinek took part in visits at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital where the team got to spend time with patients and worked with Big Buddy in their annual youth fishing event. He has also worked with Be the Match's national bone marrow donor program and helped out with the Special Olympics.

The team welcomed two local brothers as honorary team members, and Thomas coordinated a signing day party at Williams-Brice Stadium and several team outings with the boys, including Trick or Treating, an ice cream social, bowling and a visit to the Zoo. He also read books to a classroom of students at Rosewood Elementary School, served on a student-athlete panel at Hand Middle School and worked in the school's Presidential Gardens as a member of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Participated in Movember to raise awareness for men's health. Led the team with 33.5 hours of outreach this year.
