COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M's Keeli Milligan and Samantha Show were named Schutt Sports/National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Division I Freshman of the Year top 25 finalists, the NFCA announced Thursday.

Milligan leads the nation in stolen bases with 48 and is tied with Sharonda McDonald's mark set in 2005 for the most stolen bases in a season in program history. The speedster from Vidor, Texas has scored in 34 games this season and ranks 10th in the SEC and first among freshman in on base percentage in conference games only. Milligan is hitting .386 on the season with 47 runs scored, one home run and 10 RBI.

Show holds a 20-7 record in the circle with a 3.43 ERA and 133 strikeouts. The East Bernard, Texas native has recorded five wins against ranked teams this season and is eighth nationally and second in the SEC in victories. In her first career start, Show fanned 15 against Wichita State, the most strikeouts by an Aggie since 2013. At the plate, Show is hitting .266 with eight home runs, four of which have come against ranked teams, and 20 RBI.

On May 12, the list will be trimmed down to the top 10 finalists, while the top three finalists will be selected and released on Wed., May 25. The Schutt Sports / NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year trophy will be presented during a live ceremony on May 31 prior to the opening of the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City.

The SEC led the way with nine selections from seven different programs. The Big 12 had four honorees from three universities and the Atlantic Coast Conference came in with three. The Big Ten, BIG EAST, Big South, Big West, Pac-12, Northeast Conference (NEC), Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), Atlantic-10 and Western Athletic Conference (WAC) each had one individual.
