COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M men's golf team honored its 2015-16 regular season Friday evening as part of the annual Aggie Golf Day and Team Awards Ceremony at Traditions Club.

Freshman Chandler Phillips earned the prestigious Most Valuable Player Award as well as the team's Newcomer of the Year accolade. The Huntsville, Texas, native leads the Aggies with five top five finishes this season, including a fifth-place showing at the 2016 SEC Championship. Phillips maintains a 72.89 scoring average in 36 rounds this season including 13 round of par or lower.

Sparked by his strong close to the team's regular season, senior Andrew Lister received the Most Improved Award. The San Diego, Calif., native owns a 73.26 scoring average in 30 rounds this season and has notched back-to-back top-five finishes in his last two outings, a fourth-place showing at the Aggie Invitational and a fifth-place ledger at the 2016 SEC Championship.

Junior Dylan Siebenaler was honored with the B.K. and Jane Watson Academic Achievement Award, for his efforts balancing hard work in the classroom during his tenure in Aggieland. Additionally, Siebenaler has served as an inspiration for his teammates and others as he overcame cancer to return to the golf course.

Senior Adria Arnaus was presented with the Coach Bob Ellis Leadership Award, which is named for the long-time Aggie golf coach who oversaw the A&M program for 28 seasons. Arnaus, who hails from Barcelona, Spain, was recognized for his work ethic and commitment to make himself and his teammates better. The fourth-year Aggie has carded three top-10 finishes this season while maintaining a 73.26 scoring average in 35 rounds of competition.

In addition, several other team members were recognized for their statistical achievements this season, including Cameron Champ (Lowest Scoring Average) and Ben Crancer (Best Ball Striker) while Phillips was presented Best Driver, Best Putter and the Mental Toughness Award.
The Aggies will learn their postseason destination when pairings and competition sites for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship are revealed live on the morning of May 5 during Golf Channel's Morning Drive.
